“Respect is earned not given” I like to see it the other way. As soon as you shake my hand I will always be kind and respect you. You are a human being and mutual respect is always important for a new relationship/friendship to grow. Some people see kindness and people with big hearts as a weakness. I married a woman with the biggest heart you could possibly find but if you disrespect her or lose her respect she will whip you back in line. But she will never ever treat anyone with disrespect or in a bad way when she first meets you, regardless of your reputation. This is a HUGE lesson I have learnt from her and one of the main reasons I married her. You will always have my kindness and respect until you lose it. Be kind and respectful on the first time around, but never let anyone walk all over you. That’s a lesson learnt. -Brandon
